Here's a little story that we created together!
Meeting with Mrs. Cherie Blair and the entire organising team of We Can India at a special event at American Center, New Delhi
For the last couple of months, we've been working hard to recreate the Tribana experience and share our story with many of you. We've noted your feedback, soaked in all your compliments and positive vibes and along with the support of our small (yet super talented) team, and the lovely folks at We Can India, we are on way to creating an experience I'd like to rightfully call as, Tribana 2.0.
I take immense pleasure in announcing that we have been selected to take part in the business incubation phase of WE Can India, a project aimed at enabling women entrepreneurs to realise their full potential.
WE Can India supported 150 women entrepreneurs across five North Indian cities by providing intensive business training and mentoring. Following a business plan competition, 26 participants were selected to participate in the final incubation phase – and we’re delighted to have been selected as one of them! We will now go on to receive one-on-one coaching, advanced business training, as well as links to networks, markets and financial services.
WE Can India was developed by U.S. Embassy, India (who also funded the project) and the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, and is delivered in partnership with Dhriiti.
In May, Team Tribana and some other Delhi-based WE Can participants shared the incredible journey that we’ve been on so far at a special event at the American Center - culminating in an inspiring meet and greet with Mrs. Cherie Blair herself! The session also included a powerful talk by Mrs. MaryKay L. Carlson, Chargé d’Affaires at the US embassy in India about balancing professional and personal lives and empowering women in business.
Amidst one of the most surreal moments for Team Tribana, I presented the story, vision and the road ahead for us amidst this very special audience.
A design-led brand, Tribana was launched with an aim to connect with the urban nomadic lifestyle. Tribana embodies modern travellers who move from one place to another absorbing all the cultural awesomeness.
I've always maintained that if we can recreate the sense of a place and build an association through our designs, while also creating a collective of people who believe in one world, (that is people who embrace all cultures and their quirks), we would have then found our tribe!
For each one of you who has been in my corner as a friend, mentor, customer, fellow idea-tor or collaborator- I could not be more thankful of your support and belief in our tribe. It is now time for us to look ahead and continue to rise!
Love & Light,
